This presentation will give an overview of the Kowari residual strain scanner, including it operation and capabilities. Focus will be given to one of the key capabilities of the instrument, it’s spatial resolution, how this is achieved and the consequences. A number of examples of the utilization of the Kowari instrument highlighting the diversity of measurements undertaken will also be given.
