The amorphous electrolytes in the Lipon family enable exceptional electrochemical and mechanical performance in solid state batteries. The origin of this performance has remained elusive for years. In this presentation, we will share our work using a combination of neutron scattering  techniques, ab-initio molecular dynamics simulations, and mechanical measurements to elucidate the structure – property relationships that enable its solid state battery performance.
