This event, part of the renowned DAPHNE4NFDI TA 1 lecture series, aims to foster a comprehensive discussion on the utilization of various types of PIDs for datasets and proposals within PaN (Photon and Neutron) facilities.

 

The event will be recorded and the aim is to write a White paper resulting from the discussions.

 

1 Introduction to PIDs at HZB

Rolf Krahl will present the usage of different PID types and the resulting implementation at Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (HZB). He will point out the strategic importance of these identifiers and what their implications are e.g. in a knowledge graph or for visibility.

2 Panel Discussion with PaN Facility Representatives:

Objective: Listen to representatives from various PaN facilities as they share their perspectives on PID application and learn about diverse approaches adopted across facilities, and the reasoning behind these choices.

Participation: We invite members from the broader NFDI context and PaN user communities to a collaborative dialogue on the requirements for seamless integration and coordinated application of PIDs, ensuring robust and interoperable data management practices.
