Description

This talk highlights the role of neutron imaging in heritage research, particularly in studying materials shaped by human activity, such as metals. Neutron-based methods offer unique insights into the transformation of raw materials into artefacts, their use and distribution, and the processes driving their degradation and preservation. The talk will include selected case studies in the field of Cultural and Natural Heritage, spanning from looted artefacts from Iron Age Iran to ancient Egyptian artefacts.
