The Bildungszentrum Freising or Kardinal-Döpfner-Haus is an ideal conference location offering historical flavour and combining both retreat character and perfect accessibility from Munich downtown and Munich airport.

The reception desk of the Kardinal-Döpfner-Haus is manned every day until 8 pm. If you intend to arrive later than 8 pm please contact us on dyproso2015@frm2.tum.de. We’ll send you the entrance code.

WiFi is available in every conference room and in the cafeteria ("Arkadenkaffee"). Please ask for your individual WiFi-ticket at the reception desk. Cost: 2 € for a period of 5 days.

How to get to the Bildungszentrum Freising (Kardinal-Döpfner-Haus)

·         from Munich airport
By taxi: about 20 minutes – cost: about 35 Euro
By public transport: Bus 635 to Freising station.
Munich Public Transport Ticket:  single trip = 2,70 €
Arriving at Freising train station, the Bildungszentrum Freising is in walking distance, about 10 to 15 minutes uphill. Please follow the signposts: “Domberg” – “Kardinal-Döpfner-Haus”
Cost for a taxi from Freising station to the Kardinal-Döpfner-Haus are about 10 €.

·         from Munich mainstation (Munich downtown)
Please take the regional train S1 in the direction of Freising and  make sure to get into one of the front wagons where the destination “Freising” is explicitly mentioned. Leave the train at the terminus “Freising”.
Munich Public Transport Ticket (MVV): single trip = 8,10 (3 zones)
Arriving at Freising  train station, the Bildungszentrum Freising is in walking distance, about 10 to 15 minutes uphill. Please follow the signposts: “Domberg” – “Kardinal-Döpfner-Haus”
Costs for a taxi from Freising station to the Kardinal-Döpfner-Haus are about 10 €.

Motorway A92: München-Deggendorf,  exit "Freising-Süd/Neufahrn"  respectively
Motorway A92: Passau-München, exit  "Freising Ost".
Take Road B11 in the direction of Freising city centre  and follow the signs “Domberg”  within the city of Freising.
Car park: 
There is a underground car park next to the Bildungszentrum Freising (“Domgarage”). A preferred rate is offered to the guests of the Bildungszentrum.

Guided tour through FRM II on Tuesday, 15 September 2015
The tour is reserved to those attendees who have signed up for when registering. Due to changes there might be a few places available.
A valid identity card for European respectively a passport for Non-European citizens is mandatory to be granted access to FRM II.

Meals at the Kardinal-Döpfner-Haus
As informed earlier there is a full board service at the Kardinal-Döpfner Haus for those who stay overnight; those who arrange accommodation on their own  will have coffee breaks, lunch and dinner. Special requirements could be fulfilled.
Drinks consumed during the meals (except for Sunday and Monday evening) are at your own expense.

After dinner you may gather in the so called  "Korbiniansklause" where wine, beer and of course non-alcoholic drinks are served.

The Conference Dinner is taking place at the Bräustüberl Weihenstephan located at the Weihenstephan Hill.
