DEVA-QENS workshop
The Data Evaluation Group is pleased to announce a 1-day QENS workshop in the Glaspalast at FRM II with support of MLZ instrument scientists. This workshop will consist on few lectures on QENS theory and soft matter research possibilities at the various spectroscopic instruments at MLZ. In addition, participants will receive a demonstration of Mantid software, which is typically used at the TOF-TOF instrument for reduction and analysis of QENS data. With hands-on tutorials using experimental data, the participants will learn how to reduce and fit QENS data at a beginner’s level.
The goal is to help participants understand the method, prepare accordingly for experiments at MLZ, and obtain a basic awareness of the software and involved data analysis steps.
The workshop will be held in Garching at the Glaspalast and is limited to 15 participants on a first come, first served basis. Participants are expected to bring their own laptops.
