Preface

In order to share experiences and promote common activities among communication officers of Europe’s large scale research infrastructures, a working group with regular exchange and meetings is proposed. The motivation originates from the successful PARI workshop, organized by the ERF-AISBL, which merits a long term perspective.  
There are currently a total of 35 people from 24 different research institutes interested in this initiative (as of January 2017). About 20 Communication Officers from several research facilities around Europe attended the first phone meeting on January 24, 2017 to discuss possible collaborations. Now it is time to meet in person to further discuss collaboration possibilities and the possible frame work of a working group.
