The AUNIRA workshop is going to be held in the premises of the research neutron source Forschungs-Neutronenquelle Heinz Maier-Leibnitz located at the reseach campus of Garching near Munich/Germany.

Access regulations: In order to be granted access to FRM II a valid passeport is mandatory for all Non-European/Non-Schengen citizens. For citizens of the EU/Schengen-member states a valid identity card is sufficient.
How to get from Munich airport to the hotels in Garching on Saturday or Sunday?
When arriving on Saturday or Sunday it is advisable to take a taxi (about 20 minutes, 40 EUR).
As to public transport, there are several options. However, we strongly recommend to take the suburban train S8 from Munich airport (direction of "Herrsching") to Munich center "Marienplatz" and then to change to the underground line U6, direction "Garching Forschungscampus". Exit the train at stop "Garching".

Ticket: For this trip, which is about 80 minutes, you need a single day-pass entire network ("Single Tageskarte Gesamtraum") for 12,80€. Please do not forget to stamp your ticket prior to getting in the train:
The hotels "Hotel am Park" and Hoyacker Hof" are in the direct neighborhood of the underground stop. Maria's Inn is in about 10 minutes walking distance.
How to get from Munich airport to FRM II during the week?
If you arrive at Munich airport on Monday or later, once again, taking a taxi is the least time consuming, but most expensive way (about 20 minutes, about 40 EUR). To get from the hotels located in Garching to the research campus of Garching it's either a walk of about 30 minutes or a ride of about 2 minutes by underground U6 (direction " Forschungs-Campus Garching"). If you prefer to get there bypublic transport it's advisable to buy a strip ticket ("Streifenkarte"). You need one strip from the city of Garching to the research campus of Garching, where the workshop is being held.
