Most of the non-Russian speakers and participants will need an entry visa.

Please visit the respective web-sites of the Russian Embassy in your country in order to learn about prerequistes and documents required (e.g: invitation letter (please see below),  visa application form with photograph, proof of travel insurance, income statement, ...).

Visa assistance

Persons who need Russian visa should supply their personal data. The nearest Russian Consulate can be found here http://www.russianembassy.ru/en/.

All the participants of "Engineering for advanced neutron instrumentation and sample environment" (and their accompanying persons) should first obtain the visa invitation through NRC “Kurchatov Institute” -PNPI and then apply for a visa at the competent Russian Consulate of their usual place of residence.

You should apply for a humanitarian single-entry type of visa (which is free of charge and is intended for the scientific exchange trips).

The period of your visa will be from 12 May till 17 May 2018. Please let us know if it is necessary to change the period of stay a bit (probably a bit earlier, etc.).

The period of the visa invitation obtaining is 2-5 days for European citizens (Schengen countries) and about 1.5 month for the USA and the UK, Canada citizens. No urgent visa invitations are available. As it is sometimes necessary to apply for the visa with the original invitation, some extra time is also needed for the mail delivery.

Please fill out the following information needed to get the invitations from NRC “Kurchatov Institute” -PNPI and send this information to Ms. Anastacia Zaitseva <zaytseva@lns.pnpi.spb.ru>.

  • complete working address;
  • work telephone number;
  • address for the invitation delivery (if different from the working address);
  • location of the Russian Embassy or Consulate to apply for a visa (country, city);
  • Arrival date;
  • Departure date;
  • attach a LEGIBLE scanned copy of the passport (only the first page, we need the following information (full name, date of birth, citizenship, passport number, valid till…)
